Some Bugs and Fish have returned to the Animal Crossing island on March
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as March approaches, some bugs and fish will return to the island, and seasonal items will appear in the store.
March is upon us, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is releasing a slew of new bugs, fish, and seasonal items to mark the month's events. Players in the northern hemisphere are entering the first few weeks of spring, while those in the southern hemisphere are near the end of summer. As February draws to a close, players will also be able to start harvesting Spring Bamboo, in addition to new creatures and seasonal items.
Since the arrival of March coincides with the start of the Animal Crossing season shift, there have been plenty of bugs and fish arriving and leaving this month. There will be a total of 9 new bugs in the game in the northern and southern hemispheres. As the weather warms in the northern hemisphere, so will the fishing season, but as summer draws to a close, the southern hemisphere will see plenty of fish leaving.

All new bugs in March 2022
Players in the northern hemisphere can catch a total of 27 bugs this month, while players in the southern hemisphere can catch a total of 51 bugs. Northern Hemisphere players have until the end of March to catch the Monarch Butterfly, however, the prized insect can be collected between 5pm and 8am before the end of the month.
Northern Hemisphere
Orchid Mantis : Appears on white flowers between 8am and 5pm, sells for 2,400 bells.
Bee : Flies between 8am and 5pm, costs 200 bells.
Bedbugs : Can be found on flowers any time of day, sells for 120 bells.
Face Bug : Found on flowers between 7pm and 8am for 1,000 bells.
Yellow Butterfly : 160 bells for flights between 4am and 7pm.
Tiger Butterfly : 240 bells for flights between 4am and 7pm.
Peacock Butterfly : 2,500 bells for flights between 4am and 7pm.
Praying Mantis : Found on flowers between 8am and 5pm for 430 bells.
Southern Hemisphere
Red Dragonfly : Fly between 8 am and 7 pm, priced at 180 bells.
Violin Beetle : Can be found on tree stumps any time of day, costs 450 Bells.
Pill Bug : Found by tapping on a rock between 11pm and 4pm for 250 bells.
Centipede : Found by tapping the rocks between 4pm and 11pm for 300 bells .
Common Butterfly : Flies between 4am and 7pm, costs 160 bells.
Yellow Butterfly : 160 bells for flights between 4am and 7pm.
Monarch Butterfly : 140 bells for flights between 4am and 7pm.
Cricket : Found on the ground between 5pm and 8am for 130 bells.
Bell Cricket : Found on the grounds between 5pm and 8am for 430 Bells.

In March, Northern Hemisphere Animal Crossing players will be able to catch 35 different fish species, while Southern Hemisphere Animal Crossing players will witness 63 different fish species in their ponds, rivers, and oceans.

Char : can be caught in clifftop rivers and ponds between 4 pm and 9 am, sells for 3,800 Bells.
Golden Trout : can be caught in clifftop rivers between 4 pm and 9 am, sells for 15,000 Bells.
Barred Knifejaw : can be caught in the sea at any time of day, sells for 5,000 Bells.
Tadpole : can be caught in ponds at any time of day, sells for 100 Bells.
Loach : can be caught in rivers at any time of day, sells for 400 Bells.
Cherry Salmon : can be caught in clifftop rivers and ponds between 4 pm and 9 am, sells for 1,000 Bells.
Southern Hemisphere
Golden Trout : can be caught in clifftop rivers between 4 pm and 9 am, sells for 15,00 Bells.
Salmon : can be caught in river mouths at any time of day, sells for 700 Bells.
King Salmon : can be caught in river mouths at any time of day, sells for 1,800 Bells.
Mitten Crab : can be caught in rivers between 4 pm and 9 am, sells for 2,000 Bells.
Sturgeon : can be caught in river mouths at any time of day, sells for 10,000 Bells.
Pike : can be caught in rivers at any time of day, sells for 1,800 Bells.
Cherry Salmon : can be caught in clifftop rivers and ponds between 4 pm and 9 am, sells for 1,000 Bells.
