How to become a powerful wizard in Wizard Alchemy — Beginner's Guide

Wizard Alchemy is an action RPG game on the Roblox platform, centered around magical alchemy and developed by the Muggle Academy, heavily inspired by the Harry Potter. The game integrates multiple systems such as exploration, material collection, potion brewing, combat, and character development, offering a rich gameplay experience. This article provides a detailed game guide for new players to help them get started with this fantasy game.

Core Principles

Wizard Alchemy's underlying design revolves around a simple core loop: collect materials → brew potions → unlock spells → defeat enemies and bosses → explore new areas. Each step builds upon the previous one, driving the next step forward.

1. Materials are Paramount

Whether brewing potions, completing quests, or earning gold, materials are the core currency for all activities, and they are worth collecting regardless of their rarity.

2. Potions are Spells

Spells in this game are not obtained through a skill tree, but rather unlocked by brewing and drinking potions. Each potion corresponds to a different spell, with higher quality potions unlocking more powerful spells.

3. Magic Points

Each material has its own Magic Points, and each potion has a minimum Magic Point requirement. To brew a potion, players need to input 5 materials and reach the minimum Magic Point requirement for a chance to successfully brew that potion. The higher the Magic Point, the easier it is to produce a higher-level potion.

4. Progression System

Players can improve their abilities through Wizard Wand upgrades, Race selection, equipment, and Ascends. There are many progression paths, which players can explore gradually.

Materials Acquisition Methods

  • Defeating Enemies: Each enemy has a specific drop list, which can be viewed in the in-game Index menu.
  • Opening Chests: Chests scattered throughout the map can yield various materials.
  • Gathering Environmental Resources: Materials can be gathered in places like Blueberry Bush, Mushroom Cluster, and Bird Nest.
  • Completing Quests: Various quests will be available in the game, rewarding you with materials upon completion.

Brewing Process

At the alchemy table in the spawn point, approaching it allows you to begin brewing. After selecting the materials, you'll see the potion's spawn probability on the left side of the screen. Once ready, you'll proceed through three stages:

1. Grinding: Grinding and mixing the materials. This has little impact on the potion.
2. Pouring: Hold down the pouring button and control the progress bar within the target range. Pouring too much or too little will significantly reduce the potion's quality; precise control is essential.
3. Stirring: Click when the aura aligns with the designated location. This requires a certain level of reaction speed.

These brewing processes can be considered mini-games within the game. Players can choose to skip them using the skip button in the upper right corner.

Different potions offer different buffs. Below is a list of potions for Departure Isle and their stats:

Robes are also equipment that increases health. Players can purchase them with Gold, also available in Roger's shop. Currently, there are only three types of Robes: Starmoon, Golden Reverie, and Starlight, which increase health by 30 and 60 respectively.

Race

At the start of the game, all players are set to Human by default, but can change their race through Race Rerolls. Different races offer different combat and attribute bonuses. Currently, the Night Knight is the strongest race, belonging to the Legendary tier. It possesses various game bonuses. If you cannot obtain a rare race, Ice Crystal, Fiendish Demon, and Stellar Ambassador are all good Epic races that players can keep if they draw them. Race Rerolls are mainly obtained by opening chests, completing quests, and redeeming in-game gift codes.

Beginner's Guide

1

Accept Quests and Level Up

Around the Departure Isle, you will find several NPCs who offer quests. These quests include defeating specific enemies or collecting designated items. Completing quests will reward you with experience points, gold, and materials.

2

Gather Materials Along the Way

Start gathering materials when you see Blueberry Bush and Mushroom Clusters. These materials are widely used in potion crafting later. Even low-mana materials can be sold for gold or used to brew basic potions after accumulating a certain amount.

3

Early Game Monster Farming Routes

  • Pickaxe Dwarf: Located in the Departure Isle forest area, this is the best early-game gold farming target, dropping Golden Tooth and Dwarf Emblem.
  • Knife Goblin: Distributed near forests and beaches, dropping Goblin Finger, one of the main sources of early-game alchemy materials.

These two enemy types are easy and densely distributed, suitable for beginners to repeatedly farm to accumulate gold and basic materials.

4

Acquiring Spells

After accumulating a certain amount of materials, you can start brewing potions to learn spells. Players can start by brewing basic potions such as Wind Blade, Rock Blast, and Ice Spike. The materials are simple, and the brewing difficulty is low, making them suitable for beginners.

5

Purchasing Equipment

Accumulate Gold by selling potions, completing quests, and opening chests. Then, head to Roger's shop to purchase various equipment to improve your attack power, health, etc.

6

Stay game updates

Wizard Alchemy is consistently updated, with each update adding new items, materials, spells, and expanding the game map. Redemption codes are also released. For players who want to quickly grasp the game's content, following these updates will be very beneficial.

Final Thoughts

The core charm of Wizard Alchemy lies in its continuous positive feedback loop of "exploration → collection → brewing → combat." New players shouldn't rush to achieve the optimal configuration; instead, focus on completing the main quests and gradually experiencing the fun of each system. Once you understand the game's core logic, you can then slowly achieve a qualitative leap and experience the true charm of the wizarding alchemy world.
