Rift Sacrifices is a new exchange system added with the Rift update. You’ll find a mysterious Rift in the lobby, and instead of sending you into a boss arena, this Rift displays a set of three animals it wants you to sacrifice. Follow these steps to complete the exchange:
Find The Rift Next to the Trails Shop
The Rift sits inside the Safe Zone, right beside the Trails Shop.
Check the Three Requested Animals
Open The Rift to see the three animals it currently wants, along with the rotation chances for the Riftborn, Riftbeasts and Shattered Rift Banner pools.
Obtain Any Animals You Don’t Already Have
If your inventory is missing one of the three requested animals, check the Steal an Egg All Eggs List if you're unsure which Egg drops which pet.
Sacrifice All Three Requested Animals
Add all three animals to the Rift menu, then confirm with the Sacrifice button. Giving up only one or two animals does not complete the exchange.
Receive One Exclusive Rift Egg
Once the sacrifice is confirmed, you receive one Rift Egg from whichever Banner pool is currently active.
Hatch the Rift Egg for a Chance at Different Pets

What Are Rift Banners
Rift Banners determine which exclusive animal pool is currently connected to The Rift. There are three different Rift Banners, and each Banner contains five rare animals that can only be obtained through Rift Sacrifices, giving the Rift update 15 exclusive animals to collect in total.
How Often Do Rift Banners Change
The Rift Banner changes every 3 hours. Once the rotation ends, the Banner switches and The Rift can begin requesting a different group of animals tied to the newly active pool.
The rotation is also globally synchronized, meaning players across different servers see the same Banner at the same time. Server hopping is therefore not a reliable way to find a different Banner, if you want a different pool, you simply have to wait out the 3-hour timer.
