Rocket League Season 3 Patch Notes have been released
Season 3 of Rocket League won't be fully operational until tomorrow, but the big Season 3 update is now available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. When the Rocket Pass goes live tomorrow, it will add a new car, but before that, this update introduces a brand-new trade-in system that will make trading in unwanted inventory items simpler and more satisfying.
This update isn't especially important. Other new features include new music, bug fixes, and more, but none of them are game-changing or would significantly boost the game's overall experience. However, based on the duration of the patch notes, this is undoubtedly one of the most significant changes in recent weeks.
Below, you can check out the update's full patch notes.
CHANGES AND UPDATES
Trade-In Update
Trade-Ins are now managed in their own section in the Garage
All Trade In-eligible items fall into three categories:
• Core Series Items
• Tournament Items
• Blueprints
The Trade-In menu displays how many eligible Trade-Ins you have, sorted by category and rarity
Trade-Ins still operate the same way as before:
• 5 Uncommon = 1 Rare
• 5 Rare Items = 1 Very Rare
• 5 Very Rare = 1 Import
• 5 Imports = 1 Exotic
• 5 Exotics = 1 Black Market
Regardless of series, tournament items and (revealed) blueprints can now be traded in. The Tournament Item or Blueprint you get as a result of a Trade In is related to the sequence of items you traded in.
