A progression-focused Steal An Egg Pet Tier List showing which Pets are worth chasing, how to get stronger Pets, which Biomes offer the best upgrade opportunities, and when you should move to the next zone.
Pets are the main income engine in Steal An Egg. You steal an Egg, return it to your base, hatch a Pet, earn more money, upgrade your treadmill and base, gain more Speed, and then reach stronger Biomes. Because of that loop, the “best” Pet is not simply the rarest-looking Pet—it is the Pet that gives your current account the biggest progression upgrade.
S Tier is mainly reserved for elite late-game results such as Unicorn, Kraken, Cosmic Skeleton Boss, Eternal Lunar Dragon, Lava Dragon, Mosasaurus and other top Secret / Eternal / Divine outcomes. However, your best practical Pet is the strongest Pet you can realistically obtain and keep active while progressing through your current Biome.
Steal An Egg Pet Tier List
This tier list ranks representative Pets and Pet outcomes by their current progression ceiling, listed income potential, rarity level and the difficulty of reaching the Biome where they appear. It is deliberately selective so this page answers “what should I chase?” instead of turning into another All Pets list.
| Tier | Pets / Targets to Watch | Where to Focus | Why They Rank Here |
|---|---|---|---|
| S Tier | Unicorn, Kraken, Cosmic Skeleton Boss, Eternal Lunar Dragon, Lava Dragon, Mosasaurus, Ice Dragon | Cosmic, Abyss Ocean, Volcano, Prehistoric, Snow | Highest-end late-game targets in the current data. These are the kinds of Pets that can dramatically change late-game income, but several are special or timed high-end results. |
| A Tier | Cosmic Dragon, TRex, Phoenix, El Maja, Tralaledon, Yeti, Cerberus | Cosmic, Prehistoric, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Snow | Excellent Secret / Eternal-range upgrades and strong late-game targets. They are valuable, but the exact result and live income should be checked before replacing an already elite Pet. |
| B Tier | Leviathan, King Snake, Royal Sphinx, King Mammoth, Beluga Whale, Whale Shark, Bronto, La Vacca Saturno Saturnita | Lake through Cosmic | Strong progression Pets that can carry an account through major income jumps without requiring every run to produce a top timed result. |
| C Tier | Brr Brr Patapim, Axolotl, Scorpion, Tiger, Mammoth, Flaming Bull, Orca, Triceratops | Forest through Prehistoric | Reliable early-to-late progression targets. These are often the Pets that help you build enough money and Speed to unlock the next meaningful Biome. |
| D Tier | Chicken, Dog, Bird, Frog, Duckling, Jerboa and other starter Pets | Forest, Lake, early Desert | Useful at the start because every income slot matters, but they should be replaced as soon as stronger hatches become consistent. |
How Should You Rank Pets in Steal An Egg?
| Factor | What It Tells You | How to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Money / Second | Your direct income improvement. | Use this as the first comparison when deciding whether a new Pet should enter your active setup. |
| Biome | How difficult the Pet is to access consistently. | A strong Pet from a Biome you can safely farm may be better than a dream Pet from a zone where every run fails. |
| Rarity / Special Result | The potential ceiling of the hatch. | Use rarity to identify high-end targets, but do not use it as the only ranking signal. |
| Size & Mutation | Why two Pets with the same name may not be equally useful. | Re-check live stats whenever a Pet has a special size or mutation. |
| Your Weakest Active Slot | Whether the new Pet creates a real upgrade. | Replace your lowest earner first instead of chasing rarity for collection value alone. |
How to Get Better Pets in Steal An Egg
The core method is simple: steal an Egg, bring it safely back to your base, hatch the Egg, then use the Pet income to fund the next Speed and base upgrades. Better Pets become practical when you can reach better Biomes and return with Eggs consistently.
Build a Full Income Setup First
Do not leave useful Pet slots empty while waiting for a perfect hatch. Early Pets still generate the money that funds your first upgrades.
Train Above the Minimum Biome Speed
The gate requirement only tells you when a Biome becomes accessible. Extra Speed gives you a safer return margin while carrying an Egg.
Farm Eggs in the Highest Biome You Can Clear Reliably
If a higher zone causes repeated failed runs, drop back one Biome and farm successful Egg returns faster.
Hatch and Compare the Real Pet Result
Check the Pet's actual income, size and mutation. Replace the weakest active earner when the new Pet is a real upgrade.
Watch Server Announcements for High-End Targets
Some Secret, Eternal and Divine-level Pets may appear through timed or announced high-end Eggs rather than behaving like ordinary repeatable Biome Pets.

Steal An Egg Biome Analysis: Where Should You Farm Pets?
There are 9 standard Biomes in the current progression: Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric and Cosmic. The table below is not an All Pets list; it highlights the progression role and representative targets of each Biome.
| Biome | Minimum Speed | Guardian | Representative Pet Targets | Biome Analysis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Forest | No minimum | Chicken | Brr Brr Patapim | Starter economy. Farm here only until your base income and movement are ready for Lake. |
| Lake | 900 | Swan | Axolotl, Leviathan | Your first meaningful upgrade zone. Good for escaping the weakest starter income range. |
| Desert | 10K | Scorpion | Scorpion, Royal Sphinx | A strong early-mid progression jump with Mythic / Cosmic potential in the current data. |
| Jungle | 40K | Tiger | Tiger, King Snake | Good mid-game farming point. Start caring more about successful return rate, not just access speed. |
| Snow | 170K | Yeti | King Mammoth, Yeti, Ice Dragon | The first Biome with a major high-end ceiling in this tier framework. Strong place to pause and improve income. |
| Volcano | 700K | Hellhound | Cerberus, Phoenix, Lava Dragon | Excellent late-mid / late-game target zone with several strong Secret / Eternal examples. |
| Abyss Ocean | 2.5M | Moby | Beluga Whale, Kraken, El Maja | High-value late-game zone. The gap between regular strong Pets and top special results becomes much larger here. |
| Prehistoric | 17M | T-Rex | Bronto, TRex, Mosasaurus | A major Speed wall, but also one of the strongest late-game upgrade stages before Cosmic. |
| Cosmic | 700M | Dragon | Cosmic Dragon, Cosmic Skeleton Boss, Eternal Lunar Dragon, Unicorn | Current end-game standard Biome and the highest ceiling in this progression-focused tier list. |
What Is the Best Biome for Farming Pets?
There is no single best Biome for every account. If you have only just reached a Speed gate, the new zone may actually slow your progress because Egg returns are less reliable.
Farm the highest Biome you can clear consistently—not simply the highest Biome you can enter. Reliable Egg returns usually beat repeated failed attempts in a stronger zone.
For late-game players, Cosmic has the highest standard progression ceiling in this article. For mid-game players, Snow and Volcano are especially important because they begin introducing much stronger Secret / Eternal-level targets in the current data.
How Do Secret, Eternal & Divine Pets Work in the Tier List?
Secret, Eternal and Divine labels represent the high-end ceiling of the current Pet progression data, but they should not all be treated as ordinary repeatable Biome pool results. Some high-end Pets can be connected to timed Egg spawns or live server announcements.
That is why this Tier List separates “Biome progression” from “special late-game target.” A Pet can be associated with Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric or Cosmic and still require more than simply farming the normal local Eggs over and over.
Best Pet Progression Strategy
Early Game: Fill Slots and Push to Lake / Desert
Use starter Pets for income, replace the weakest earners quickly, and spend enough on movement to stop early Egg runs from failing.
Mid Game: Prioritize Reliable Mythic / Cosmic Upgrades
Desert, Jungle and Snow are where stronger progression Pets begin to matter. Do not skip an obvious income upgrade just because it is not a Secret Pet.
Late Game: Balance Biome Access With Spawn Opportunity
Volcano, Abyss Ocean and Prehistoric can offer huge upgrades, but reliable farming and live high-end spawn opportunities become increasingly important.
End Game: Chase the Cosmic Ceiling
Cosmic is the current highest standard Biome. At this stage, your upgrades are more likely to come from elite Secret / Eternal / Divine results and strong mutations rather than ordinary starter replacements.

Steal An Egg Pet Tier List FAQ
What is the best Pet in Steal An Egg?
For late-game progression, elite results such as Unicorn, Kraken, Cosmic Skeleton Boss, Eternal Lunar Dragon and other top Secret / Eternal / Divine Pets sit near the top of this tier framework. The best Pet for your account is still the one that produces the biggest real improvement over your weakest active Pet.
How do you get better Pets in Steal An Egg?
Reach a stronger Biome, steal an Egg, safely return it to your base and hatch it. Use the resulting Pet income to fund treadmill and base upgrades, then repeat the loop in stronger zones.
Which Biome is best for Pets?
The best farming Biome is the highest one you can clear consistently. Cosmic has the highest standard progression ceiling, but a lower zone is better if your Egg return success rate is much higher there.
Should I rank Pets only by rarity?
No. Compare Money / Second, Biome difficulty, size, mutation and whether the Pet actually improves an active slot. Rarity is useful context, not the entire ranking.
How many standard Biomes are in Steal An Egg?
The current progression covered here has nine standard Biomes: Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric and Cosmic.
Where is the complete Steal An Egg All Pets list?
This Tier List intentionally focuses on the best targets, how to get stronger Pets and Biome progression. A separate All Pets article should contain the full Pet-by-Pet database, including rarity, Biome, income and rewards.
