A verified Steal An Egg Pet progression guide covering how Pets generate income, how to compare Pet results, all confirmed Biomes and Speed requirements, and the safest way to farm stronger Eggs and Pets.
Pets are one of the most important progression systems in Steal An Egg. After you successfully steal an Egg and return it to your base, the Egg can hatch into a Pet. Those Pets generate income, helping you upgrade your base, improve your treadmill and build the Speed needed to reach harder Biomes.
This Steal An Egg Pet Tier List focuses on what can currently be verified: how Pets affect progression, how to judge whether a Pet is actually useful, the confirmed Biome and Speed progression, and how high-end Pet results should be evaluated.
Steal Egg → Hatch Pet → Generate Income → Upgrade Treadmill/Base → Increase Speed → Reach Better Biomes → Steal Better Eggs → Hatch Better Pets. A strong Pet is not just a rare-looking result; it should improve your actual active income or progression.
Steal An Egg Core Gameplay
The official Steal An Egg description explains the main gameplay loop: players steal Eggs from Pets, hatch those Eggs into rare Pets, earn money from their Pets, upgrade their treadmill and base, train Speed and eventually attempt more difficult Egg runs. Players can also steal Eggs from other players.
The current standard progression contains 9 confirmed Biomes: Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric and Cosmic.
Current gameplay reporting also places the collectible Pet total at 78 Pets. Because many Pet names remain hidden in the in-game Index until discovered, LOLGA does not recommend copying an unverified 78-name list from a fan spreadsheet.
Why Are Pets Important in Steal An Egg?
Pets are the economic engine behind Steal An Egg progression. The game specifically confirms that players earn money from their Pets. That income supports the upgrades needed to improve your base and treadmill.
Steal Egg → Hatch Pet → Generate Income → Upgrade Treadmill/Base → Increase Speed → Reach Better Biomes → Steal Better Eggs → Hatch Better Pets.
This is why a useful Pet Tier List should not rank Pets only by how rare their label looks. The most important question is: does this Pet improve the income or progression of your current base?

How Should You Rank Pets in Steal An Egg?
There is currently no complete official public income table for all 78 Pets, so LOLGA recommends ranking Pets using the live information shown in your server.
| What to Check | Why It Matters | Recommended Action |
|---|---|---|
| Money / Second | This directly affects how quickly your base generates income. | Prioritize Pets that improve your actual active income. |
| Rarity / Hatch Result | Higher-end results are important collection and progression targets. | Use rarity as a guide, not as the only ranking factor. |
| Size | Pet sizes are part of the current progression system. | Compare the actual resulting Pet rather than assuming two Pets of the same name are identical. |
| Mutation | Mutations are also part of Pet progression. | Re-rank a mutated Pet using its live stats. |
| Your Current Pet Slots | A Pet is valuable when it improves the collection you are actually using. | Replace your weakest active earner first. |
Steal An Egg Pet Tier List
Because exact income can vary with the Pet result and modifiers, this tier list is best used as a progression framework rather than a fixed ranking of all 78 individual Pet names.
| Tier | Pet Type / Result | How to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| S Tier | Top live-income Pets and high-end Divine / Eternal results | Usually worth keeping when they also outperform your current active Pets. Confirm the live income before making a final comparison. |
| A Tier | Secret results and exceptional modified Pets | Strong late-game candidates. Compare size, mutation and actual income before replacing an S-tier earner. |
| B Tier | Strong Mythic / Cosmic / Legendary-range progression Pets | Useful for building the income needed to move through mid- and late-game Biomes. |
| C Tier | Mid-game Rare / Epic-range Pets | Useful transitional earners until stronger Egg runs become consistent. |
| D Tier | Early-game and starter Pets | Use them to generate early income, then gradually replace the weakest earners. |
Steal An Egg Pet Rarity Explained
Current community tracking uses labels including Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Cosmic, Secret, Eternal and Divine.
However, community sources do not always use the same terminology for rarity, variant and special hatch results. For example, some trackers treat Secret, Eternal and Divine as high-end variants or hatch outcomes rather than standard rarity bands.
For that reason, LOLGA recommends using the exact label displayed by your current Pet or Egg instead of assuming every community rarity chart represents an official fixed hierarchy.
All Confirmed Steal An Egg Biomes
Current independent gameplay testing confirms nine standard Biomes. The following Speed requirements and guardians are currently consistent across recent guide data:
| Biome | Minimum Speed | Guardian | Pet Farming Advice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forest | No minimum | Chicken | Learn the steal-and-return loop and begin building Pet income. |
| Lake | 900 | Swan | First meaningful Speed-gated progression area. |
| Desert | 10K | Scorpion | Continue replacing weaker early-game Pets as successful runs become easier. |
| Jungle | 40K | Tiger | Start balancing Egg quality against your actual escape success rate. |
| Snow | 170K | Yeti | A mid-game step where additional Speed margin becomes increasingly useful. |
| Volcano | 700K | Hellhound | Train beyond the entry requirement before attempting difficult carries. |
| Abyss Ocean | 2.5M | Moby | Strong mid-to-late-game progression area if you can return consistently. |
| Prehistoric | 17M | T-Rex | Late-game area with a much larger Speed requirement. |
| Cosmic | 700M | Dragon | Current highest standard Biome and an end-game Egg target. |
Can Each Biome Hatch Specific Pet Rarities?
Different Biomes contain different Eggs, and later Biomes generally provide access to stronger and rarer Egg opportunities.
Community sites currently disagree on some exact rarity ranges, special variants and Egg pools. Publishing those ranges as guaranteed drops could therefore become misleading after an update.
What Is the Best Biome for Farming Pets?
There is no single best farming Biome for every player. The best practical Biome is usually the strongest area where you can repeatedly steal an Egg and safely return it to your base.
For example, reaching Prehistoric at 17M Speed does not automatically make it more efficient if you lose most Egg runs. A slightly lower Biome where you can successfully complete multiple runs may produce better progression over the same period.
Farm the highest Biome you can clear consistently—not simply the highest Biome you can enter.
Best Pet Progression Strategy
Fill Your Pet Slots Early
Early Pets are still useful because an occupied income slot is better than leaving your base without enough earners while you wait for a perfect hatch.
Replace Your Weakest Earner First
When a new Pet hatches, compare it with the weakest Pet currently contributing to your base. This creates steady progression without relying only on rarity labels.
Upgrade Speed When Egg Runs Start Failing
If your income is healthy but you repeatedly lose better Eggs on the return trip, movement is probably the bottleneck. Train on the treadmill and consider improving your Trail.
Do Not Rush a New Biome at Minimum Speed
The minimum Speed requirement is a progression gate. Give yourself additional Speed before farming a newly unlocked area aggressively.
Judge High-End Pets by the Actual Result
Secret, Eternal and Divine results are important late-game targets, but do not infer an exact hatch chance from badge counts or community screenshots.
Use the Pet Index as Your Collection Check
Current Pet Index tracking shows a total of 78 collectible Pets. Use your in-game Index to confirm which Pets you have actually discovered.
