After Toy Day is over, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can turn their attention to the last event in December: New Year's Eve. The Nintendo game's end-of-year celebration is different from past events in that it doesn't have its own NPCs and special events for players to complete. On the other hand, as New Year's Eve approaches, players will receive a long list of exclusive seasonal items for players to collect. It's also one of the days of the year when resident services are closed, giving Isabelle and Tom Nook a chance to relax before the big countdown party. How to get new year items

From now until December 31, players can shop for some New Year's Eve items in the seasonal section of Nook Shopping. They are non-edible furniture items, but they allow players to see traditional New Year dishes from around the world.

For example, Twelve Grapes was inspired by the Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight on December 31st. Meanwhile, Olivier salad is a popular New Year's Eve dish in Russia.

 • Berlin – 1,200 bells

 • Olivier Salad – 1,000 bells

 • New Year Noodles – 1,300 bells

 • Sparkling Cider – 1,000 Bells

Players Can Also Get A Selection of New Year's Days from Now UNTIL JANUARY 5, 2022. Again, These are primarily classic dishes. To Commemoraate the year of the t Iger, there are things such as the 2022 Balloon Arch and the Zodiac Tiger Figurine.

New Year's event date

Resident Services will close for the day on December 31 at 5 a.m. local time. Outside the building, Tom Nook and Isabelle will build a huge countdown clock that will count down the minutes until midnight. Players cannot utilize the recycling bin, the ABD, Tom Nook's services, or Isabelle's services when Resident Services is closed.

Free light sticks and party poppers will be distributed by Isabelle and Tom Nook. Players can also buy a New Year's Hat or a New Year's Silk Hat from Nook, albeit only one hat style per island will be available. This design is available in a variety of colors. More party poppers will be available for purchase at Nook.

What to do on New Year's Eve

The party officially started at 11:00 pm local time. Animals will gather in front of the Resident Services Center to wait for midnight. With just one minute to midnight, everyone gets ready for glow sticks, sparkling cider and party fireworks. Finally, when the clock strikes midnight and the entire island comes together to herald the new year, it's a great photo opportunity.

From midnight to 2:00 am, players can watch a firework extravaganza. Additionally, the animal villagers will stick around to talk about New Years celebrations.
