New Rainbow Six Siege tournament aims to find the best players in the US

Ubisoft and ESL are growing the competitive scene for Rainbow Six Siege with the introduction of the new US Nationals Program, kicking off on July 14.

The programme will serve as a spotlight for US talent, highlighting the best teams and players as pros compete for a $50,000 prize pool. The winning team will also win the coveted title of Team USA, which could come with the chance to represent the country on the world stage.

The competition’s qualifiers will be spread across five stages, kicking off on July 14, giving any US team the chance to compete. Winners of the first round of matches will advance to a second stage on the following Friday of each week. Further qualifiers will take place in August, September and October. Rounds will be split into two conferences - East and West.

Rainbow Six Siege is one of the best FPS games on PC.

The competition will culminate with a live Nationals Finals event in December. Four teams from each conference will be invited to travel and compete for the chance to be crowned Team USA.

Starting from July 20, matches between the top two placing teams from each conference will be streamed across the official Rainbow Six Esports YouTube and Twitch channels.

“The phenomenon that is Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege esports has been truly amazing to witness firsthand,” Robb Chiarini, esports associate director at Ubisoft, says.

“With the US Nationals, we have entered into a new and exciting time for our community’s growth. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive esports ecosystem that offers our players and ever-growing community opportunities to participate, watch and aspire to. The US Nationals expands this initiative by offering another layer of activity for all players across the United States.”
