Rocket League's Rumble mode is getting its own ranked playlist
Psyonix recently released updates to their summer roadmaps to show more when we can look forward to the much-anticipated features such as Rocket Pass, cross-platform parties and a new level of progress system.
The incredible short mention of this new addition to the roadmap has caused many questions for fans, some of which have been answered by Psyonix developers. This is what I have collected so far, mainly from the developer response in this topic:
Each sport has its own independent ranking playlist. This is not surprising, but I can see a Rocket Labs-style playlist and all the sports happen together. This does not mean that you can place separate rankings between sports.
Your ranking sports victory will help your season reward level, just like any other ranking victory.
The sports champion ranking will not give you the same title as Soccar Grand Champs. The simple "no" answer here is very vague. It may mean that there will be a different player title (such as the 7th season basketball champion) instead of the Soccar title, or there will be no championship reward at all.
There won't be any sports playlists that are not ranked to avoid splitting the player base that these modes are already small.
This news is a bit surprising because I don't believe Psyonix mentioned the Ranked Sports playlist before this update. However, since the release, players and fans have been considering advanced basketball and Dropshot games.
This news update also gives us a more specific time frame for upcoming new features. We will see a change in the leveling system "close to the end of August" and the first Rocket Pass will be released in the following week. Unfortunately, cross-platform parties have been postponed until September, missing the goal of releasing them at the end of the summer.
