Update from the Rocket League on Feb. 1, launching new esports items
The next big update to the Rocket League will drop on Feb. 1, confirmed today by Psyonix. It will add to the game new Rocket League Items, content, and changes in the quality of life.
Apart from the improvements to the gameplay, the key appeal of this update will be the addition of Fennec Decals to the Esports Store. If the update goes live, with each team featured in the Esports Store, players will be able to buy decals for the Fennec, which also no longer rotates and will feature all items for all available teams.
Psyonix has also taken into account player feedback and is making some gameplay improvements to enhance the overall player experience across the board, especially with regard to the effects and lighting in Neon Fields.
In this update, to change the intensity and motion of visuals, a new setting option called 'Effect Intensity' will be added. Players will also be able to adjust this setting to a Default or Low preset which, when Low is selected, will enact the following.
• Disables all pulsing effects
• Disables all flashing lights
• Reduces or disables moving FX/lights/background visuals
• Reduces brightness or intensity of background lights
The update is expected to launch on Feb. 1 at 6 pm CT, but for some tie-ins, that's still subject to first-party approval.
