To get the Tome of Dalaran in WoW Forever, defeat Archmage Arugal in Shadowfang Keep, pick up the Black Tome from the table behind him, and use it at the Ambermill Leyline Focus in Silverpine Forest (63.4, 64.3). The Tome of Dalaran is used to summon the secret boss Lyn the Ignored inside the City of Dalaran dungeon.
How to Get Tome of Dalaran: 3 Steps
- Get the Black Tome: Enter Shadowfang Keep, defeat the final boss Archmage Arugal, then interact with the book on the table behind him.
- Travel to Ambermill: Go to Ambermill in Silverpine Forest. Find the Leyline Focus, a blue crystal inside the town hall near Archmage Ataeric, at approximately 63.4, 64.3.
- Convert the item: Stand beside the crystal and use the Black Tome from your bags. It becomes the Tome of Dalaran.
How to Use Tome of Dalaran
Enter the City of Dalaran dungeon in the Alterac Mountains. Defeat the first boss, Atrexis the Grave Knight, and continue through the sewers. Instead of taking the right-hand route up toward the city, go straight into the small chamber with a purple ritual circle. Use the Tome of Dalaran there to summon Lyn the Ignored.
Important: The ritual circle is inside the dungeon instance, not simply in the open-world city. The secret boss and item interactions are based on the current beta and may change.
