Get the Drowned Lure
Go to Mistfall Harbor at night and find the red bridge. Look for the rocky fishing spot near the water vent or waterspout.
Use:
- ✓ Basic Fishing Rod
- ✓ No bait equipped
- ✓ Fish at night
- ✓ Stay near the red bridge fishing spot
Keep landing successful catches. Current player guides generally report the Drowned Lure appearing after around five or six successful catches, although the exact attempt can vary.
Drowned Lure Not Dropping?
- Make sure you're using the Basic Rod.
- Remove any bait before casting.
- Fish at the correct red bridge / waterspout spot.
- Do it during nighttime.
- Count successful catches, not failed casts.
Find Legendary Fisherman Isao
Once you have the Drowned Lure, return to the red bridge at night.
Go underneath the bridge and look for Legendary Fisherman Isao. If you can't see him, check whether it's nighttime.
Isao Requires
Catch Crustadon and Krathulon
This can be one of the slowest parts of the quest because both are higher-tier fish.
Use your Rare Fishing Rod and better bait if available. Most importantly, do not sell these fish.
Keep 2 Crustadon and 2 Krathulon in your inventory, then return to Isao.
Find the Legendary Fishing Rod Spot
After completing Isao's request, head toward Butterfly Estate.
Look for a grassy ledge beside a tree overlooking the river / waterfall area. This is the final fishing location.
- Equip your fishing rod.
- Equip the Drowned Lure.
- Cast into the river.
- Keep fishing until the Legendary Fishing Rod appears.
Some walkthroughs report that the message "This is the place..." can appear when you're fishing at the correct location.
Legendary Fishing Rod Not Dropping?
You're using the wrong rod for the Drowned Lure
Use the Basic Fishing Rod for the Drowned Lure step.
